You will need a “Large” spool of thread. You will use approximately 1200 yds of thread. It is recommended that you fill your bobbins prior to class. If your machine uses small bobbins you will want to fill about 8-10 bobbins. If using large bobbins you will want to fill about 6-8. You will want to match the thread color to your fabric. Consider using a variegated thread. 5. Needle you will want a size 14,16 or 18 needle for this project. Some people also recommend to use a blue Jean. 6. Sewing supplies: Sewing machines that will sew at least a 5mm zigzag stitch. A walking foot is highly recommended. Your regular sewing supplies/gadgets. A large extended table is highly recommended. ?------ Homework ------------ For the Oval or Round rug. Please have your 2.5 inch strips sewn together prior to class. It is recommended that you sew them at an angle as you would when making your binding, this lessons the bulk at the seams. You may want to roll your rope into a ball to keep it neat. @@@ If you wish to make the rectangle rug you will not need to sew the strips together.@@@ * If you have any questions or concerns please call the store at 361-894-6816
